NoForgetDict Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 25, 2026
Overview
NoForgetDict helps you look up, save, and review English words. This policy explains what information is stored on your device, what information may be sent to our backend, and how it is used.
Developer
NoForgetDict is operated by 15AM Studio.
For privacy or support questions, contact support@noforgetdict.com.
Information stored on your device
Saved words, review progress, and personal notes are stored locally on your device. NoForgetDict uses local storage for the core word list and review experience.
If you do not sign in, this locally stored information is not synchronized across devices and may be lost if you uninstall the app, clear app data, or lose your device.
Review reminders and notifications
If you enable review reminders, NoForgetDict may send local notifications when saved words are ready to review. These reminders are generated on your device using your locally saved word list and review progress.
NoForgetDict does not send your saved word list, review schedule, or a push notification token to our backend for review reminders. You can turn review reminders off at any time in the app settings or your device notification settings.
Information sent to our backend
When you look up a word or phrase, the app sends the word or phrase, your selected translation language, and an anonymous device identifier to our backend.
The anonymous device identifier is used to apply the daily AI lookup limit, protect the service from abuse, and keep the app working reliably. It is not intended to directly identify you.
AI explanations and third-party AI providers
Our backend may send the word or phrase you enter to third-party AI providers, such as Google Gemini, to generate a dictionary explanation. Please do not enter personal, private, or sensitive information into the lookup box.
Generated explanations may be cached in Supabase so repeated lookups can load faster and avoid unnecessary AI requests.
AI-generated content
AI-generated explanations may occasionally contain mistakes or incomplete information. NoForgetDict is intended for language learning support and should not be treated as professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.
Daily lookup limit
NoForgetDict uses an anonymous device identifier to manage the daily lookup limit for guests. A lookup submitted to the backend may count toward your allowance whether its explanation is newly generated or loaded from cache.
If you sign in, account-based usage limits may also be used to provide your plan and help prevent attempts to bypass limits across devices.
Issue reports
If you report an issue with a dictionary explanation, the report may include the looked-up word or phrase, the selected translation language, the generated explanation, and information needed to review and fix the issue.
Data sharing
NoForgetDict may use service providers to operate the app, including Supabase for authentication, backend hosting, and database storage, and third-party AI providers, such as Google Gemini, for AI-generated dictionary explanations.
If you sign in using Google or Apple, those providers process the sign-in request according to their policies and provide account information needed to authenticate you.
Premium purchases may be processed by Google Play, the Apple App Store, or another payment provider. NoForgetDict does not directly store your full payment card details.
If advertisements are enabled in the app, advertising providers may process information needed to show, measure, or reward ads. This policy and applicable store disclosures will be updated to identify the live advertising service before ads are enabled publicly.
NoForgetDict does not sell your personal information.
Security
Data sent between the app and our backend is transmitted using secure HTTPS connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the data used by the app.
Data retention and deletion
Saved words, review progress, and personal notes stored on your device can be deleted by removing them in the app or uninstalling the app.
If you create an account, you can delete it through the account settings in the app. Deleting your account deletes associated synced saved words, review progress, personal notes, and account entitlement records, unless retention is necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or dispute resolution.
If you cannot access the app, follow the instructions on our Account Deletion page.
Backend lookup records, cached explanations, anonymous daily limit records, and issue reports may be retained as needed to operate, improve, and protect the app.
You may contact support@noforgetdict.com to request deletion of backend data associated with your anonymous device identifier where technically possible.
Accounts and payments
NoForgetDict does not require an account for available guest lookup, save, and review features.
If you create or sign in to an account, we process your account identifier and, where provided by your selected sign-in method, email address or related authentication information. When you create an account, we may store the date and version of your acknowledgement of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Your signed-in account may store and synchronize saved words, review progress, and personal notes across supported devices.
Premium status and purchase-related entitlement information may be associated with your account so benefits can be provided or restored. Payments are handled by the applicable app store or payment provider.
Children
NoForgetDict is intended for general English learning and is not specifically directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is needed to operate the app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
